Hi,
i'm trying to re-install a stock down pipe for an 180hp quattro TT. The old one was broken at the flex pipe so I was able to take half out from underneath the car and the remaing part bolted to the turbo from the top of the car. I've read that it should be possible to re-install a compete stock unit from underneath without dropping the subframe but I'm not having any success getting the front flange of the downpipe to clear the cross frame and shaft. It it really possible?
Thanks
Jeff

not all quattros are 225. there are 180 models.
In your case you have to drop the subframe, the awd drive shaft restricts access to pull the pipe out. aftermarket ones though are known to resolve this.
If you do lower your sub frame get a alignment afterwards
