Default NEED TO MOD CAR.. WHAT TO DO?

I have a 2001 audi tt quattro 225 horsepower and about 1500 dollars to fix it up a bit. I need to know what i should do that would create most horsepower with that money. I was thinking maybe intake, new dv and apr chip? Please help, I would also like to install a turbo timer if anyone knows anything about that...

apr equals being stuck in a world where you will max out making only 320 hp after spending 8-10 thousand. you dont need a turbo timer on 225 tt's. do a unitronic or giac chip ( i prefer unitronic for obvious reasons). any dv is good. k&n drop in filter is ample. also get a 42dd downpipe. you should have a couple bucks left over for some beer.

Go with:
1. Boost gauge
2.chip (Giac)
3. Either a drop in filter or a cone filter
4. DV
5. Downpipe
Depending on how many miles you have on it, you may need to scratch all the mods and do a timing belt. Otherwise that should take up about all of it with some left over. Maybe

with unitronic software look to get 273 hp and 275 torque. giac is still in the 260 hp nieghborhood. the filter will allow about anoter 3-5 hp max, and the dp is good for maybe 10-15 max ( chip will help to maximize this mod).

Yeah you better get in and fix it before it screws your car up badly. Should be around 700-800.

Ray, what's up with the unitronic?

Are you a dealer?
I haven't heard anything about them...
Cels?
Reliability?
Customer service?
Price?

I have a Unitronic remap from Ray.

CELs - NONE
Reliability - Seems good so far (few weeks in.) Consistent boost.
Customer Service - GREAT from Ray.
Price - Right on par.
Upgradability - A++ Unitronic is one of the few that will write customer software for custom BT setups.

If you ever have plans of dumping the stock turbo, you really have to go with uni. The main reason is because the Revo and Giac BT tunes are not nearly as nice.

Do TB, Uni chip, and forge dv. That would be the safest and smartest move imho.
