Default Need input on ECM replacement

Hey guys. Need some quick input. My '00 TT 1.8T needs a new ECM (TPS and APS codes, stuck in limp mode, determined that the ECM in fried). I'm about to have the original one sent out and rebuilt. Will I still need to have it reprogrammed to the vehicle via an Audi dealer? Thanks.

Bump. Anybody? If it still needs to be reprogrammed when I get the rebuilt ECM back, I'm not gonna waste my time and will just have it towed to Audi now

Not sure but I am having the Tps And aps problems over and over. How did you determine your ecu is fried. Where are you getting your ecu rebuilt.

To be honest I'm not even 100% confident but I already replaced the pedal assembly and the throttle body. I checked as many wires as I could for continuity/resistance without a proper wiring diagram (can't seem to get my hands on one!) Plus I google'd the issue and found that someone had their downstream oxygen sensor harness rubbed through and shorted out the ECM. My o2 sensor harness also came loose and rubbed through.

I am in the same boat as you, I have done everything besides changing throttle body and ecu. I have gone through two pedals and still the same outcome. I had to replace the rear o2 about a year ago because it was bad cause of a code. I wonder when that happened if that screwed the ecu up to. Where are you getting your ecu rebuilt.

I found the problem with mine. The readings on the wires were reading right but the blue and white wire on the ecu that goes to the pedal had a part of the wires insulation missing and was tapping the metal next to the ecu. Just cut the wire and respliced it and it has worked so far.
