i've decided to go with apr because after talking to a couple of places about the performance and effects of the different chips out there. I've been told that the new giac software makes your car run too lean or too rich can't rememberr which though? either way thats bad over a long time. that can damage your catalyic converter etc. I'm still a little nervous about chipping my car and it will be one of the last engine mods i do if i even decide to do it. I've heard that revo isnt bad and to pretty much stay away from the new giac x chip and neuspeed chips. hope this is helpful

The GIAC chip is more agressive than the others. I had it on mine before I went to a bigger turbo and I never got a too lean or rich code. Also I never had any problems with the car and I had the chip for over two years. I have a 180TT and with the GIAC chip (before the GIAC X) I went from 8 psi to 13 psi with a max spike of 16 psi during winter months. Plus I gained 25 or more HP and torque. I dont know about the GIAC X chip but the regular chip did fine. They all do pretty good as a whole but it all comes down to what you want. The 1.8T engine can handle alot more than what the chips and our turbos can do. The Elise car uses the same 1.8T turbo and Im sure they run twin turbos at high psi. So just do some research and go from there.

i've talked to the guys at eurocodetuning and eurostyleseast and both said the apr is better all -around for those that use the car as a daily driver. i guess if your a weekend warrior then its fine but they told me the new giac x chips are bad
