So there's a constant ticking type sound coming from the pass. rear of my TT.
Gut instinct tells me it's the fuel pump sending morse code messages. I do have cels, but haven't checked them recently because I know it's for the MAF and the dreaded P1335. Hopefully this weekend when the weather clears up I'll vag my car and see if anything new pops up.

So, yay or nay on the fuel pump?

fuel pump is in-tank. aka, right under the rear seat. Pull the seat bottom for a bit, you'll hear the pump much more clearly.

Yeah I can hear it stopped at a red light with the music down.
Is the ticking an indication that the fuel pump is on it's way out?
Considering I haven't noticed this sound before that's what I'm assuming.

Although it's probably been a good 18k miles since I've changed the fuel filter.
Maybe I should do that as well...

I thought I heard a sound like that stopped at red light but it seemed to be coming from the gauge cluster.
Not sure if it still have it or got used to it.

I hear a constant clicking noise from my driver side, personally I believe that its something to do with the door lock. Every time I hear it its right before the door open alarm goes off.
Could be that the doors micro-switch is on its way out.

Just my best guess.

Only thing in the pass/rear I can think of that could possibly make noise would be the amp for the stereo. like a relay clicking on/off. Thats tucked in behind the first aid kit. I dont know how or why a fuel pump would 'tick'. They hum/buzz a bit louder in the autumn years of their life, but I dont know about ticking.

I had a feeling at first that it could be the stereo but I dont have it connected at all.
It does sound like a relay of sorts though.

In your case, theres a relay sort of thing in the rear on the drivers side that clicks when the door is opened. Not sure exactly what it controls. I'd still look to the door sensor as your problem. Its inside the latch mechanism.

The weather is beautiful today, 54 degrees and not a cloud in the sky (well maybe a few).
Just put the new shift boot and maf in. Now if I could only find my laptop I'd clear these codes. In the meantime enjoy..

P.S. This boot would perfectly match the TTs with a grey interior.
