hey,m does anyone have a good idea of what navigation system to purchase and any good spots to place it/harddwire it?

 

I'm not sure what type, but some people are placing them right infront of there stick/blow the radio where that little cubby is. - I've seen this done in a few peoples TT's.. -It looks ok...but is a little low for my taste.

 

I have a TomTom ONE. I like it. The Garmin Nuvi is a nice option as well. Here are 2 cell pics of my GPS mounted.

i fiberglassed a double din eclipse avn5435 navigation in my ride. i had to loose the ash tray and move the heater controls around that area but it came out preety. figure about 3-400 labor and the navigation cost, but you end up with a very nice system overall.

i can get pics of the bezel i made since it is out right now. the car is kind of appart. as soon as i finish the suspension i'm doing my interior hard pieces, the working on upholstery, so it will be a few months before i can show it running again. i'll get them this weekend

 

Can you still access the little sliding pocket in front of the stick?

 

yeah you can. i just lost the ashtray, as the heater control moved down about 1-2 inches.

 

Oh, very, very excellent. I may not need to sell my AVX800 after all!
