My audi makes me depressed
I am so in love with my car that when it starts to break, I also feel broken.
List
1) Suspension rattles... alot, the ride seems like I am in go cart. Come summer I intend on placing the Springs and shocks with coil overs, and new strut bushings. What else should i replace?
2) Exhaust Rattle
3) Blown front passenger speaker
4) Haldex controller seems broken. My car never gets the grip like it used to get, and seems to plow into corners with loads of understeer . My HR sway bar is set to the firm position.
5) Transmission makes grinding noise when not moving. If i push the clutch in the noise goes away. I think the bearing is shot. The noise is horrific and i dont drive my car b/c of it. Could it be low trans oil?
6) Engine Codes
I have misfires and my car runs in limp mode. I changed the oil, and found lots of sludge. I changed the spark plus but the problem wont go away. I vaged the car and below are the codes. This and the transmission problems are my main concerns and I wish I could fix the problem.
6 Faults Found:
16622 - Manifold Pressure / Boost Sensor (G31): Signal too High
P0238 - 35-00 - -
16490 - Manifold / Barometric Pressure Sensor (G71) / (F96): Implausible Signal
P0106 - 35-00 - -
16727 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40): Signal too High
P0343 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18047 - Accelerator Position Sensor 1/2 (G79/G185): Implausible Signal
P1639 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16486 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70): Signal too Low
P0102 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Address 22: AWD Labels: 02D-900-554.lbl
Part No: 02D 900 554 B
Component: HALDEX LSC ECC 0006
1 Fault Found:
00526 - Brake Light Switch-F
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
TELL ME what to DO? I have a vag, Bentley and 4 jack stands and every tool i need. I do not know what to fix, in the engine or transmission. I am mechanically inclined but clueless to fault codes.
Thanks guys.. Peace out

this is the website that helped me read codes
http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/...ry:Fault_Codes
i had similar codes when i installed my camshafts on my gti like the last 4 codes i didn't align them right i was off a tooth or two so i was in limp mode also got it check by vag-com said my accelerator pedal was faulty/maf/camshaft position sensor
did you change your timing belt recently?
maybe its a boost leak check the intake hose?
the first code says your boost sensor faulty?
well good luck

1.) I'd check to make sure everything is tight, and none of the springs are cracked. Just give it a good look, and replace your sway bar bushings.
2.) Prolly just broke one of the hangers. Again get under there and take a look around. If you have questions take pictures so we can get a visual.
3.) Sorry the engine makes all of the music I need to listen to...
4.) Is that a front or rear sway bar? Might explain your feeling of understeer... When was the last time you changed the haldex fluid and filter? You should be doing that every 20k miles.
5.) Yep, it's the throw out bearing.
6.) P0238 and P0106: Try cleaning your throttle body and see if that helps.
P0343: Might be triggered because of your bad throw out bearing. Just a guess though.
P1639: Do a throttle body alignment after you clean it. Otherwise look up the procedure in your manual to check if the gas pedal is bad (cause that's where this sensor is). I have an extra pedal laying around. If you need it let me know.
P0102: Do I really have to go into this one? You should know by now how to handle MAF codes.
P1602: Take a look at your battery. Clean the terminals if necessary, and retighten. Just make sure you have the radio code if you do disconnect the battery.
00526 - Brake Light Switch: Take a look in the bentley and follow the procedure to check it.
PS. You'll need a multimeter to test the sensors.

if the ECU is reading an issue with the brakes, then your haldex won't engage.
Fix the brake light switch, and I bet your haldex works again.
Power supply terminal 30... check your battery terminals, clean them. If your battery is over 3 years old, consider replacing it. They generally don't last more than 5 years.
Low voltage will screw with everything. Start with that issue, and some of the others might disappear on their own.
