RE: my 225 vs. 96 Trans Am
ok... 225 + chip + racing fuel... maybe a chance... but by the time you spend the money for it youll be well over the 300 which the bet would be... I think its doable though... (racing fuel on my 180 is like dayumn)

I would just save up and buy a flux capacitor from kalecoauto.com[/i] and then you can go back in time right to the finish line. what's 14's when you have time at your disposal. true story.

RE: my 225 vs. 96 Trans Am
The LT-1 has 300hp at the crank. I have driven both cars hard. (A stock 225, not a chipped one) Sorry, but I can't imagine the TT winning a drag race unless you dump the clutch and really launch the car while he is spinning the tires. And even still, he will be running you down at the other end. It just depends on whether he would catch you within 1/4 mile. Unless a chip makes the cara lot faster, I would not race for money. Just for fun. The TT is a great car, but it's not a drag car.

THE LT-1 z28/ firbird had 285 crank Hp TheKnighthawk firebird had 305. stock lt-12 transam 1/4 mile times as listed by c&d 14.1 for the transam....13.9 for the kinghthawk/fomula. My Blown s/b camro runs 10.20 @ 130 mph w 8 1/2 psi....... My ls-1 camaro runs 12.20's @ 113 on motor with bolt ons. Im determined to make my audi faster than the ls-1
Im not sure what my 1/.4 mile is now i will update next week....but i ran 14.6 @ 93.4 mph With the giac revammp and forge splitter i know the car feels .5-.7 tenths faster. So with Intake/full exhaust Dp i should be solid 13.5's + 50 shot spray 12s

I was going to say no chance.
A quick lookup shows it only runs a 14.3 1/4 mi.
TT's can run mid 14's with a chip.(Right?)
I wouldn't count on beating him, but it's possible with a good launch and reaction on your part.
But that's only if he's stock. Which you say he isn't. So I wouldn't waste my money, or dignity.

Sounds like a hustle to me - unless he's a twit driver and spins his wheels and delays getting grip and you launch fully spooled - it's the only way (at your present mod level) that you'll have a chance to beat him.
Slap a K04 turbo, chip , exhaust and manual boost control and you could handle him - XCLR8TT can give you pointers - he's all about the track racing (most knowledgable bloke on the block here for that)
but that's my 2 cents [&:]
