Who knows, maybe it will look good? But I think the definition of rice is to have a non functional item on your car for the "look" of the real thing - or a functional item that is not needed, and/or done in bad taste. If your getting your hood painted to look like a lighter aftermarket hood, then one could call it ricey.

IMO if it looks good do the hood, roof and hatch.

 

i was thinking of doing down around the grille then up the hood only on the raised part then maybe the roof in the future for a partial stripe... idk we'll see, its going to be cool for an 18 year old

These cars have a level of class and prestige. Doing something like this will take away from it. But, it's your car, so do what you want. I saw a debaged 525i the other day with some ghetto chrome wheels, with after market rear lights, and **** can muffler. I could not believe that this kid would think it would look good to do that. He made a really nice car look so, so cheap and tacky. Thats an extreme example, but you know what I'm saying.

 

haha. gtfo here with your "audi class and prestige". know your roots, audi was first designed as a performance/rally machine back in the 80's with the "audi quattro."

Ummm.... "painting" a hood to so that it "appears" to be carbon fiber? I know my roots... They didn't paint hoods in 1980's so that they appear to be lighter...
