Default This might sound rice, but

Has anyone ever cut their shifter down to make it shorter? Me and a friend were talking and he suggested I do it... I have never really thought about it till now, maybe just take a half inch or so off? what you think, too rice?

I didn't know you could cut your shifter? But i don't think it sounds that ricey just a cheap way of getting a short throw shifter.

get a new shift **** instead. My sparco made mine much shorter from the stock because it has a adapter fitting instead of threading on the stock shifter. I might take some pics tomarrow if i get bored to show the difference.

Yeh, well you see I already have a neuspeed short shifter installed, but by cutting the actual shifter stick, it would make it not so tall.

I snapped my shift lever off... thought this wasn't/shouldn't be possible -service manager at the dealertold me I drive too hard. i told the ol hag to go f**k herself. she only gave me a 10% discount on the $1k bill to fix.
