Default Mid Level adjustment in Bose Concert Audio

There's nothing wrong with the mid level of my stereo, but i always like to have a lesser mid frequency. It sounds pretty loud to me even if I set it at -5. Does anyone know if there can be a hack code to the software of the stereo? My dealer said he doesnt know how to do it, that sounded weird to me, but instead of cribbing about it, I thought here would be a good place to acquire some knowledge about it.

Doubt it. Bose sucks anyways! Just switch it all out.

Bose does not suck, they are good speakers and rarely blow. yes the newer cars have better stock stereo options, but overall Bose is some of the best you can get, I hate when people make negative comments and don't back them up.

Where's the bass? Ever heard the saying Bose no lows. They don't even compare to aftermarket speakers like Focal's and such. Yeah they may not blow out that often but when you're listening to Kenny G what would?

Focals aren't even comparable to Bose. Focals are the most expensive speakers you can buy for your car. Now you're comparing a lambourghini to a BMW... you can't do that, please try again. No i have never heard that saying either. The bass in my car is fine w/o having a sub.

I used to be a big fan of BOSE. Unfortunately, I've got to say that I am not impressed with their car audio. May be the speakers are good, but they have to work on the acoustics. I thought may be it was just my car, that's not the case. Few of my friends who drive different cars also have Bose (factory fitted), not impressed with those either. I would vote for the factory fitted stereo of VW passat, not sure of the new ones. The one I am referring to is 2001 model.

I saw this article on the net. Some consumer reporst people did a Bose vs. Radio shack Speakers and in all tests the came out fairly even.... I don't know the detailsbut the findings were crazy.... Cheap 30 dollar Radio shack Speakers pumped out the same sound quality in all ranges as the Bose... In some cases they did even better!!!! I read the article on the net and saw pics and everything but still it's all hearsay since I can;t find the article but if I were ANYONE, I'd really really look at a high end set of speakers before shelling out top dollar for it.
