Default Lost the sensor retainer clip

Changing the temp sensor is certainly easy enough, but I lost the retainer clip somewhere in the engine compartment.....since I don't have an Audi dealer nearby, can I get the clip from the VW dealer, and if so, does someone have the part number?

Thanks!

Looks like a winner....one question though: with the new sensor installed, the temp gauge read one quarter deflection, where it used to read one hlaf deflection at operating temp...then several miles later it climbed to one half. Does the new sensor require a short burn in period?

You are talking about coolant temp, thesensor you just installed is for measuring the temp of the air in the intake manfold. If you think you are heating up slower, check the vac line to the combi valve. Its is the silver circle just behind and below the breather on the valve cover.

My bad, i thought you were talking about the iat sensor, not the coolent sensor. The part # i gave you was for the new intake temp sensor.

So back to my querry:
with the new sensor installed, the temp gauge read one quarter deflection, where it used to read one hlaf deflection at operating temp...then several miles later it climbed to one half. Does the new sensor require a short burn in period?

OK - need more help, please. Another engine code, this time 2181, and again coolant related. need help please, before I take her to the dealer.I have the green top sensor in, and strangely the temp gauge is still acting wierd since the swap. Almost acts like the t-stat is stuck open now. I know all these issues are intrelated.
