scroll all the way to the bottom and look...we all refer this part as the "hockypuck" does anybody know what this does...i do know that its like a diaphram valve and it comes from the valve cover then goes to the Turbo inlet pipe...i know nate(cincy)doesnt run one..and im wondering if its a good idea not to run one..and just get a 90 degree fitting to replace it

No, the EGR is the combi valve and attached to the head. That is a regulator that controls flow from the pcv system. If you install a catch can you can remove it since the catch can will slow up the flow before the intake. That is why mine is removed.
The only thing on my car that hasnt worked was my ac compressor. My vac line for my egr was broke and when i replaced it, the warm up was in mins not 10-15 like before.
