No, only a leak would cause it. Im sure your dv was releasing boost before you shifted so it caused the code. My brothers stock valve did basically the same thing.

i have forge p007 dv so thats unlikely and i checked my old dv 710N its ok i ran the car in stock form today and it holds boost and does not loose boost. once i got the stock software the car runs perfect and i scanned it no more fault codes and no limp mode !! however when i had that tune i use to have the pressure drop fault and in and out of limp mode and the power delivery was really unstable and at the top end really losing grunt

then you might wanna go with a tune from the big 4 revo, apr, giac, or uni

wouldnt the boost leak remain in stock form also if i had a leak !!

I have this same exact problem, I have replaced my stock DV's and now im using 710N's. Didn't help much, I got my chip used.... i'm looking to get a stock ecu to see if it helps.

If it was a weak dv, then it can be hidden with lower psi. Its only when most double the psi when they notice a worn out dv
