it may seem like its not leaking boost, but most chips are set for 20-24psi for the 225 so you most likely are. Plus you must be leaking boost somewhere to set off that code. you can remove the lid to the airbox and listen to hear if the dv honks like a goose which means its torn. Also you can flip the dv over (inlet is not the outlet and vise versa) and it shouldnt leak as bad until you can replace it if it needs it.

well i dont have a 225, and i think 180bhp chips reaches about 18to19psi am i right!
plus before i did the remap my boost would be 11.4psi peak and would drop a bit. plus i have an opened actuator arm of the wastegate opened for more boost. would this be the problem.

well you mentioned that the actuating arm is open for more boost.....a mbc tricks the ecu in thinking there is less boost than there actually is so it compinsates and gives more boost. But I would start at the DV. If its chipped dont use a stock DV.......in my opinion

well as you all know last week i was having a problem, i was always getting this fault
Pressure Drop between intercooler and Throttle valve (check d.v).

so i changed the d.v and put in forge p007 , checked plugs their brand new , checked for boost leaks at my mechanics i checked several actually and all said there was no boost leak.
the car had a lot of surging and unsteady power deliver it spiked at 19psi however could not hold any reliable boost at higher rpms i would be forced to shift at 5200rpm most of the time to keep the car from losing speed. my chip is a custom tune , while my tuner kept saying my mechanics where wrong , i couldnt help but think that something is wrong. the car at cold starts would go into limp mode hard and i would have to turn the car off and start it again to go out of limp mode. my friend has the same engine AWP on his golf he has an ABT tune and the car seems much stronger and has a much better power delivery and maintains power throught the rpm range. i returned my stock software and the car doesnt have any fault codes anymore and no more limp mode, the car spikes at 11psi and holdes 10psi. any comments on this guys if the tuner is telling that my car can handle can boost up to 23-24psi without any problems !!!

Sounds like a bad tune if its surging. Proper boost control will solve that. BTW, there is no power past 5k on a ko3.

can a ko3 handle 23 psi without shortening its life span and also without a larger intercooler

It can, but most dont run it about 20-22psi since there isnt anymore usable power w/o w/m injection and an ic.
