if you are still running the oem dv you need to replace it.

^ depends really...

since you're an early 180TT (ATC) im pretty sure ur running the weak 710C DV...

the later 710N and revised RS4 dv, the 710P have the stronger diaphram

I had a similar problem, after getting the APR flash my car would go into limp mode now and again, but after turning the car off and on again it would be ok. I changed out the stock DV to the forge hybrid BOV/DV and the problem hasn't occured since after 200 miles!

^ why must you post nonsense? The car is now 8 years old and all that time is more than enough to wear out a rubber diaphram. Its just that the increase in heat and flow that showed that is was failing. For all we know it could of been bad for a long time. There are many people running stock dv's on BT with alot more than 20psi, some with 2 710's in fact.

cincyTT could this be caused by something else, another question would a failing dv cause this problem because it doesnt seem like its leaking boost.
