Limp Mode
I've all about stopped trying to trouble shoot my problems with this car. Today I was driving and my car just got sh*tty. I can only get 5 psi and the engine is running rough where I can feel it shaking in the pedals. The check engine light is blinkng which is a new one for me. Maybe a coilpack...I dont know. Take a guess and I'll fill you in when I find out what it is?

RE: Limp Mode
my car hits limp on and off. read some of my posts and you will get more details, try unplugging you MAF and run like that see if the car runs better, you will get a CEL but it will go away once you run a few kms with it plugged in.
if your car runs better then you MAF is failing/dirty, the cel you are getting may be from a weak then stron then weak signal.
the easiest way to check ti is obviously the VAG but if you dont haveit then its back to the rock and the stick method...

RE: Limp Mode
to check if its the MAF unplug it then rev if it goes beyond 5k then the MAF is shot/buggered/stuffed, depending on your mods which im not interested in
edit: if it revs below 4.5 k then stumbles the MAF is shot but it could be due to mods

RE: Limp Mode
there ya go.
coils/sparks are also culprits to flashing cels. but cehck the maf 1st.
if you suspect its a coil,
pull em out, either jab a screwdrive in it, not hard just so that you get metal to metal contact and touch the head or any piece of metal.
If you get spark then that coil is fine, if you dont then its the coil. repeat this for each coilpack.
Alternatively or if all 4 coils work using testign method above,
you can pull theplug for each cylinder, pop it into the coil and check fro spark against the head/metalpiece in the engine bay.
