Default Lightweight Under Drive Pulley Question

So I'm looking to replace my timing belt and I see that ECS has a sale on their timing belt kits with lightweight under drive pulleys. Has anyone used these pulleys? Whats the advantage/disadvantage over stock pulleys?

Thanks.

I have heard two different stories to these, one they are good and give you like 3-5hp maybe at the wheels. Will you feel that? NO. Bad things consist of vibrations, waterpump cavatiation, and alternator under or over voltage. I personally will not go with on, Audi's electrical system is way to sensitive for me to go messing with it. And all for 5hp, its just not worth it to me.

i think 225 tt is right as far as vibration, and agian the power is limited. i hardly see an advantage. I on the other hand did the lightweight flyhweel and spec stage 4 clutch, which made the car rev up really quick, but is noisy as hell with them. there is a huge weight differecne between the stock flywheel and the new one.

Yes this topic has mixed reviews. To be honest, you will be fine getting the lightweight pulleys. There will be no real hp gain but throttle responce will be improved due to the reviews i have read. But due stay clear of the underdrive pulleys that use smaller pulleys to decrease drag. These will be more problomatic than the lightweight pulleys and will not benifit the 1.8t like it does on other engines.

Yea I was thinking of maybe getting lighweight pullys as oppsoed to underdrive pulleys just for that reason. I dunno I have alot more important things to save for right now, maybe when I reach the end of ever possible bolt on that I can get I might, even then there is always BT right!
