Default Jiggling rear end

Is it normal that the tail end seems to shimmy or jiggle when I hit a few small bumps? It's a little unnerving.

Nah, not like this. It's hard to describe. It almost feelsas ifthe back end is on ice for a split second. Really loose but then the car feels normal otherwise.

Do you have Quattro or FWD?
In the meantime; get under your car, and take a look at the springs and control arms.

It's a quattro 225hp. I looked under the car. I don't see anything obviously worn or broken.

look into freshining up the rear (lol that sounds funny). New wheel bearings, hubs, shocks, springs, bushings, etc. if you dont feel like throwing money away troubleshoot all the mentioned parts to find if there is a problem. Keep your eyes on the tires and try to see if you can find the wear pattern to be irregular.
