In a jam need repo advice.
Hey guys, it's been almost a year since I last posted on the forum. Basically I'm in a tough spot (of my own making and I accept that). I had a really awesome well paying job. Got a loan for my TT and made all my payments on time. In March I made a risky move and changed jobs (not the smartest thing, but I did it). Basically, that move didn't pan out for me and I fell behind on my pavements. I talked to the bank today, they said they've written off my account and are willing to settle it for less than I actually owe. The only thing is I don't have the money they are asking for. I will however begin a new job within the next two weeks and will have steady income as before.
They told me to think about their offer and call them back in two days. I'm not going to raise the money they're willing to take in two days. They said the only other option was an involuntary repo. My question is: is there anything else I can do in this situation. I know that I owe them money, I know that I brought this on myself. I'm not asking for money or anything from you guys, I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience in this area and are there any kind of tricks I can use to work this out in my favor.
Thanks for reading this guys. It's been a rough past 6 months for me and I'm just looking forward to getting back on my feet.

I been there, myself, once. Your ONLY bargaining chip is the car. I am surprised teh bank wont work with you. Are you more than 2 months back? Actually, nevermind. I know the answer, if you're in the sitchy you say you is.
Not going to give you advice on what to do that is illegal, but, the reality is, if they can't find it, they can't take it back. But, by the time you get enough to pay them anything substantial (or else, you have nothing to $ay that they want to hear), you may be in court. Tough choice.
Call teh bank, again. Let them know you'll have their loot (insert date, here). Alterrnative is that they'll repo, and you'll hafta buy it back from the repo man, or it gets auctioned, for whatever someone is willing to pay, and you'll STILL owe teh difference.
If you were to hid the car, for instance, and go sub-terranian, you'll end up owing a BIG CHUNK, all at once; AND prolly hafta explain yourself to a judge, and pay court costs, AND STILL OWE ON TEH CAR.
Good luck! I cud say more but, not in a public forum. Givimg advice on illegal activities could make me partially culpable, and I've got a security clearance to protect.

Haha, it's all good man. I actually kind of had been hiding it. But I called today and told them where it was, updated them on all my new contact info. They offered me the settlement, which is good but still not realistic right now.

See if they will take something now and still pay the full amount. Money in hand is always better since they will be paying the repo man along with probably taking a loss at auction. Worth a shot. Any yes, take anything off that has value for resale and sell it for payment
