not only is he a copy cat but he was looking for a quick 15hp so he just added some black

I think on a silver car it spoils the entire look by detracting from the fluent lines. Don't think it woulda looked that great on your green TT...but better than that at least.

You could make the top silver or metallic white, then match the headlights, maybe the spoiler, grill and exhaust valence. I think a silver stripe down the whole middle of the car would look hot too. Like this, but of course, the inverse...plus I'd run the stripe the whole way down the front:
