Default instrument panel flashing 2:00h

Just got my 2001 225, (love it ) and my computer is flashing 2:00h on the bottom where it usually reads how many miles i have left on my tank of gas.

what does this mean ?

its fine - cycle through the mte, mpg, time, etc and it goes away.

It's just over-engineering by the germans.

Don't worry it will only happen when the car is running / driving for 2 hours.

It starts flashing 2 hours into your trip to let you know you deserve a break.

Like ryan said... just cycle past it and it's gone.

you can press the reset on the right stick by the steering wheel.

Mine just did this the other day, I figured it meant I've been driving for 2 hours but wasnt sure. Good to know.

I've seen it flash 8.... or at least I think I did, I was pretty delirious at that point, because there were quite a few hrs of road behind me before I shut the car off long enough for that to reset, and then build to 8hrs. Fortunately, Nebraska in late December, at about 2am is pretty much devoid of traffic. Maybe its devoid of traffic year round, I can't say I remember seeing a house, does anyone live in that state? ; )

Lol, That scared the **** out of me the first time too! its fine.
I was driving home fro school a month ago, and I can proudlyI have seen it flashing 16:00 and I was still capable of driving, lol.
