it is in the trunk on the gas cap side. you have to open the trim through the compartment...

and if I'm not mistaken, I think theres a manual hatch release under the cup holders, so when you totally lose power, you can pull the cord to pop your hatch so you can get to the cord to pop your gas cap. : )

If the car has been parked for quite a while, it's probably your battery has gone bad or just lost its charge. Check the resting voltage on your battery. If it is below 12.5V between the terminals with everything off, you will get very strange electonic gremlins.

since you have a roadster, the compartment behind the pasengers seat can be opened with your key, there is a lever in there, pull it to open the trunk. In the trunk on the right hand side you will see the lever everyone talks about to open the gas cap cover... Now you can fill her up.
Good luck with the electrical problems, hope you get themsolved, but until then at least you will be able to drive it, which after all is the best part when owning a TT right???
who cares they all have electrical problems as long as we can drive them right?
(^^^ really bad joke ^^^)
