so does AC still come out from the vent, even though the gauge is blocking it?

yes, its not completely blocked in, when you view it head on it seems to hover in the middle leaving space all around for air to still pass.

Sorry I can't let you waste $20!
Here's a picture of my vent Autometer boost gauge.

I used exactly what came in the box with the gauge. No need to buy the "vent gauge ring adapter".
Just take the vent out with a flathead screw driver, get a pair of needle-nosed pliers are carefully pull the guts of the vent out.
There's a holder thing that comes with the gauge, it'll slide diagonally into the vent.
Then cut a little notch in the air duct behind the vent for the vac hose; otherwise it will crimp and you won't get any reading on the gauge.
Then slide the vent with boost gauge already in place, diagonally into the vent space in the dash. This is so the gauge reads straight.

Oh yeah, I also saved the guts of my vent incase I ever want to put it back together.

i bought the more fancy digital one
It such a waste of money because they all do the same thing, but i wanted it because its so much more fun to look at while your driving lol. If you want the more classic look then go with AWE, great product and you can't go wrong.
