I changed my tranny fluid around 76k. It was pretty clean, but replacing it with MT-90 made it a lotttttt smoother. Also, if you don't have the 12-point security heads on your drain/fill plugs, you can just buy a set of big hex sockets from AutoZone for something like $7. Mine was just the plain hex bolt.

Most use MT-90
Dont hold me to this, but i believe the 02J's (fwd) have the Hex bolt and the 02M (awd) have the Torx.

Thats good to know how many quarts does the tranny take 4? I am going to put that in my tranny when i do the clutch job i couldn't decide between mt-90 or MTL
