Default I need an advice

Hello all,
I have a stock 2001 TT Quattro 180hp and I am considering some modifications. I am already convinced that I need the chip upgrade. Can anyone reccomend me which chip is better for this model. Also I am considering cold air intake option but I have heard that this may not be good for turbo engines. Any suggestions?

Thank you for reading.

CAI is great for turbo engines, this is probably your best bet. A little pricier than some other options, but its been designed for the TT.

As for a chip, Im still looking myself for one, I've decided its either going to be a GIAC or APR chip. YOu'll need to see which you want by their options.

Dont get me wrong with GIAC or APR you will notice a great power gain but for easy of use and personal experience I think REVO chips are the best. Using just a laptop to program your stock ecu with a revo code you can notice instant power gains in torque and hp. From stock the REVO stage 1 bring the 180hp TT up to 209hp with torque exceeding that.

Cold Air Intakes are the best bang for the buck for turbo cars pulling cold air from the road will give you 15 horses extra the colder/more freeer flowing the better.

But dont forget about a new diverter valve also the stock one wont handle the pressure after a while. I heard many people say Stratmosphere makes the best ones. I agree when I instaleld it the sound is incredible and makes the 180 TT sound like it has major *****.

Hello and thank you for your input. I have spoken to local APR dealer and since there is no Revo dealer around Charlotte, I may go with this option. Also for cold air intake, they have reccomend me http://www.gmpperformance.com/index.cfm?PG=detail&PID=55036 Do you know if its any good? Also how easy to install this product? They are asking for $150 to install and I am willing to do it on my own if I can.

Thank you,
