How to tell 180 vs. 225 HP models?

RE: How to tell 180 vs. 225 HP models?
so i got a ticket today.. not speeding.
cop caught up to me and pulled behind me to run my plates.
apparently my registration has been suspended since April for failure to comply with emissions testing. never got the emissions notice because i moved and it was fwded. $140 fine. Cop was younger than I was. Complete waste of time. I can see how having suspended registration is a threat to society.
I HATE COPS.. when they do dumb **** like this. this fine should not be a fine they can pull you over for. just something they can tack on.

Purely a money maker for the town/county/state, whichever applies.
Gotta watch it, the new big thing for cops are these plate reading cameras mounted up by the light bar, they automatically scan plates and alert the cop if somethings not right. I heard about it on the radio a few months back, and got a chance to chat up a NY State Trooper at Rally NY in Montecello, but not before letting him off with a warning for bald tires on his patrol car (I swear they were race slicks... no exaggeration).

I have a 2003 225 Coupe, moro blue with ocean blue interior. I must say, I enjoy this car.
The 225 has two intercoolers, two exhaust exits, a six speed gearbox, and 45 more horsepower than the 180. More specifically, the 180uses the K03 turbo while the 225 uses the larger K04. The nomenclature of the cars corresponds to their power output in bhp. The 250 bhp 3.2 V6 quattro was always referred to as the TT 3.2 in America, and was sold only with the DSG transmission.
