How to tell 180 vs. 225 HP models?
I'm in the market for a TT Coupe, and I'm having trouble determining if a particular car is a 180 vs. 225 HP model. I know the 225HP model will always be a quattro, and that the 225HP model came with 17" wheels. I've also found that the 180HP model came with 16" wheels and that quattro was optional. Then I found some info which seemed to indicate that the 180 would have a five speed while the 225 has a 6 speed, but the article was somewhat ambiguous. But I've found a red quattro with 17" wheels and a five speed. I don't want to rely on asking the seller because I'm not going to buy a car based only on what they tell me. How can I tell which HP engine is in a particular car?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: How to tell 180 vs. 225 HP models?
the180 has the intake manifold coming from the left,
the 225 has it coming from the right
(looking at the engine standing in front of the car)
thats the only way to know for sure (stock) because some people have a stock 180 with duals...

I have only seen one TT w/ 16's. All the rest have had 17's (180's & 225's) ALMS comes with 18's i do believe
180 - 5spd, passanger side TB, single exhaust
225 - 6spd, driverside TB, dual exhaust
if you can determine from that....
