Default How effective is the ECS dogmount/rear engine

I was looking to order the dog mount/rear engine mount for my audi tt 225. The car has around 60k. Does anyone have this for their car? Does it really make a difference? I was reading that it will cure the rattle noise that I am having from the 42DD DP. Is this true. Its really worth getting it just for that. Just let me know thanks.

I do and i like it. After about 2 weeks the vibration is pretty much gone, atleast no longer noticable. For my FWD car it got rid of just about all my wheel hop.

It cured elitte's rattle problem with his 42dd dp. They are deffinatly worth buying and a simple install.

I was advised against it due to the material so had the bushings swapped out instead. Not sure of the price but it might be worth trying first.

Get it even if you don't have a 42DD downpipe. Thank God for no more wheel hop!

Is this the VF-Engineering Engine Pendulum Mount for $178.95 or the Dog Bone bushing kit for $29.95? I've beengetting a little bit of rattling/buzzing when I downshift into second gear since I did my 3" exhaust. It wrecks my nerves.

They both do the same job. The bushing replacements are highly effective and simple to install.

Yea... i thought they were pretty much the same thing... only the ECS one is like 5 times the price of the TTstuff.com one. Is there actually a difference?

I think its a $5 difference. They both are solid urathane bushings and far stiffer than stock. You might as well just buy the one with the 2 bushings since the 3rd one you need a press to remove/install and doesnt really play that big of a factor in preventing wheel hop. Also remember that they use strech bolts and should be replaced.

$5? the one on TTstuff is like $29.95 and on ECStuning it's $178.99

**EDIT**
Nvm. The TTstuff one is just the bushings and the VF Engineered one is a whole pendulum mount.

Like i said above, since you cant or dont really have to change the center mount. you should just get the energy suspension kit for $17 and the bolt kit for $11.50, be $10 cheaper than getting the ecs ones with the extra mount and strech bolts.
