Default How do I reprogram my key?

I know how to reprogram the immobilizer using 2 keys, but what if you don't have 2 keys, what do you do then. I have access to VAG, but I don't know where to go on from there????????? If anyone could help that would be great.

If you do have 2 keys and need to reprogram here are the steps

To program the remotes...
1. Put your spare key into the ignition and turn to the ON position, DONT start the car.
2. Close door. In the drivers side, turn the key to the left (unlock position) and hold it (for 8-10 seconds).
3. Alarm horn will beep 3 times. Let go of the key so it sits in the lock.
4. With each of the remotes, separately press the unlock button. Each button will cause the alarm hrom to beep.
5. Turn the key to the left again and hold until the alarm horn beeps three times.
6. Done

Most locksmiths can cut you a simple valet key - we have one on call - he cut mine for $40 I keep it in my wallet - saved my *** couple of times when the car locked itself on me [>:] lol

use it for the door activation part in part 2

Would that work in the ignition though?
I just looked at my valet key and it seems to have little black chip er sumptin in it.

Yeah - it will as well - I was assuming he didn't have the official Audi valet key...

Much cheaper to make

It would work in the ignition, that little black circle ensures the valet/mechanic can't unlock your glove box with that key.

Hmm... Let me try to explain it how I mean it.
Okay so Gone in 60 Seconds is one of my favorite movies, and this may be my problem....
But you know how they scan the codes so they can get into the cars...
I thought because Audi's have such a fancy switchblade key, that you couldn't just get a key cut and have it work in the ignition.
That's what I though the purpose of the chip in the valet key was for (cause the valet key isn't so fancy).
Again I'm basing all of this off a movie, and realize how wrong I am. Please someone have a good laugh at my expense!
