I bought a replacement head from a guy. it didnt arrive as nice as I was hoping but i put it on anyways having no choice. engine starts and runs rather fine but the temperature is a little higher than normal. it sits about one notch over the half mark and slowly climbs if i drive it harder.
not sure about the heater but when its on i feel like it smells.

when i pop the hood the turbo and manifold area are a bit smokey.

open the gas cap theres a rush of steam and then the temperature and the temp drops very quickly if I rev the engine with the cap off.

I got a catch can setup just like this: inlet pipe ->[catch]->valve cover->crank
also running a APR stage 1 91oct, and APR inlet pipe and FSI coils.

any help would be appreciated
