Hood MOD Idea?

Hood MOD Idea?
Has anybody ever thought of either customizing your oem hood or having one made that might have some slits or an opening on the driver side right where the intake would be? I have the modshack VTDA and thought it would be great to have an open slit right there for some cool breezes.Think this is a good/bad idea? The two downsides I see of this is a) water and debris could get in there so you might have to make some kind of shield and b) it may look too ricey. Anybody ever seen this?

I believe it is a custom design from Messerschmitt Design, AFAIK it's a custom one off ram air scoop. He even has a TTDA hooked up to it.

I would think that some kind of scoop down and inside the the grill where the air can come in and have the scoop (full length of the bumber if possible) slant upwards so the air then goes up in the engine and helps cool things off. I would think that cooling the whole engine and the air after the turbo would be more benificial than jsut the intake air. On the 180 when I took out the SMIC for the FMIC it looked like there was a plastic piece that was suppose to help angle the air flow to the IC. So something like that.
