HOLY CRAP!!!
Ok so I was bored this weekend and decided to do alot of tinkering with my TT. I ordered the starter kit of hoses from HoseTechniques.com. I started with removing my N249 and my SAI. I replaced all the old vaccum hoses that were starting to go bad and had bad ends. Then I did a oil change, put in my oil breather on, and did a catch can. I cleaned my intake manifold, my throttle body, and the little sensor inside the intake manifold, that was covered in all sorts of grime. WOW is all I can say, my car pulls so hard to 6K, as the boost dies off a bit it still hauls. I am so excited, it feels like it should and I always hear everyone talk about so if you are having power problems I suggest trying all of this. My car is a 02 225 with 48K miles on it just for reference. I am so stoked. Oh yea I rerouted my vac line now so that it goes from one of the nipples on the bottom of the intake manifold to my DV and it sounds much much cleaner sounding now!

Removing the n249 should get rid of possible headaches in the future. Also, cleaning out the oil build up should help out alot. I hope you intend on cleaning out the drivers side ic, it probably has a good bit of oil in there.

RE: HOLY CRAP!!!
Nate I have a FMIC remember...
It took me about 6hrs all together but that includes lunch, running to ace hardware and the auto store a few times to get the things I needed but all together since I had done my research it was pretty easy and cleans up the engine bay real good. I orderd the SAI blockoff plate and diodes from 20squared.com. They should be here tuesday so I can finish up the wiring.

yeah i;ve had that block off plate and resistor for awhile now just havnt done anything about it....hey erin did you remove the coolant hard plastic pipe to get at the EGR i;m pretty sure we can remove the EGR without touching the coolant plastic hose. The 225 are laid out a little different than most 1.8Ts next day i get off work i;m gonna remove that stuff
