I am currently trying to sell my car(2006 Scion TC) and once thats sold, i am going to get a 225 Audi TT. Or so thats what i think... basically, i was eyeing one at carmax, and it says its a 2002 TT 6 speed quattro, but then it says 180 hp??? is this possible? i thought the 6 speeds only came with the 225's? and doesnt the 2002 model with quattro only come in 6 speed and 225?? i was just wondering. Thank you, and I look forward to being a part of the TT community! P.S. my dad had one of the very first TT's to come out. the one that came without the wing and he had to send it back to get it. his was a 180hp quattro. so basically i know that this car is nice!!!

225's = 6 speed + quattro

If you post a link to the car on carmax we could look at it, and help you further.
Also if you are unsure, you may want to call whoever is selling it and ask a few ?'s.

Looks nice but that's too much, shop around and you can get it cheaper. Going rate seems to be about 2-4 thousand less than that. The 180's are even cheaper

 

If it's a six speed, it's a 225. According to the AutoCheck report, looks like three titles and the current dealer may have been sitting on it since Feb, might be willing to let it go much cheaper than listed.Nobody wants inventory sitting around. It is listed as an ALMS (American Le Mans) edition which is nice. Ask the dealer tons of questions, especially about service records.

 

i just bought one 2001 silver 225Q. 95000miles for $12000, pretty good deal~ found on craigslist, give it a try~

 

Actually, from looking at the pic, that's not an ALMS. The silver ALMS's were a darker silver than standard and had red interior, not gray as the ad says.

 

there is one at south coast mitsubishi is costa mesa CA that has 72,000 miles on it and its a 225 2001 quattro. they r selling it for 15 something. hows that?

 

and also, one with that many miles, can u modify it? i want to chip it and stuff.
