Hello to all,
Purchased a Gen1 TT and need directions on how to turn the AC on. It's sooo HOT out! LOL

what year is it?

in mine you push the left dial in, thats the temp dial. the dial to the right is for the fan.

open the windows and save gas!

 

mines an 03 and you just turn the left **** ....left... till the temp. says 'LO'

 

I have an 00 and it works the same... but it kills HP. Pull the left **** out, stomp on the right pedal.

 

it kills the HP ? really !?

 

turn the dial to set the temp. then press the "auto" button.
let the TT do the temp control for you....

 

you have to push the **** in. Then you can change the temp and fan speed.

 

yea ive noticed a big loss in hp when i turn on the AC. I saw someone else had the same kind of reaction...i thought i was the only person on earth with that problem...i figured id rride around burning up than being a slow poke

 

Nothing in life is free.

If you want to run the AC you have to trade HP. The compressor is run off of the timing belt.

 

I ONLY USE THE A/C WHEN IM STUCK IN TRAFFIC. I FOUND OUT THE FASTER U GO THE MORE AIR COMES IN THROUGH THE WINDOWS
