Default Help!!! Convertible top problem.

I have the roadster for about a month now, really enjoy the top down from time to time as it was working properly.

Suddenly, last week the top would not go down.
I would unlatch the latch, press the button, nothing happens.
I then manually push it back and down, then the top would go down gradually as I push; near the end the button would work , the motor catches and retract fully. There is no problem closing it, at a push of the button the top will close all the way.
In short, the motor/hydraulics would close but will not open.

I am hoping someone has encounter this problem before and found a solution.

Please advice.
Thanks.

It could be the frame potentiometer is geeking out.. Also with the top half open look at the corners and see if there are any strings dangling, if so you need a new headliner because they are built in to the headliner and keep the metal tubular bars in the top taught during operation. If all you strings are good then I know some of the B6/B7 A4 cabriolets had to have an new convertable top module and updated frame sensor to correct the issue you are having.
