Hello from a noob
Hi everyone. Just thought I'd introduce myself after a couple of months of lurking. I'm Alex and I bought a 2002 red 225 convertible a couple of months ago. It's got 37K miles on it.
Thanks to what I read here, I decided to get the APR flash done this weekend at GRD in Naperville. They were great- very friendly, spent time answering my questions and probably more importantly asking me questions about what I wanted, how I drive, and what I think I might want to do in the future.
Unfortunately, my ecu did not have enough memory to hold multiple programs. The owner said they could solder a chip in, but the guy he'd prefer to have do it was busy, so he suggested coming back and making sure it was done right as opposed to just taking my money on the spot, and taking a shot at it, which I appreciated. I'm sure I'll be going back there in the future.
So, I got the 93 octane program, and spent my extra cash on the APR R1 diverter. I drove home with the new program and then did the DV myself. Man, what a difference. Even my wife, who could care less about performance, was blown away by the difference when she drove it.
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the info so far. I don't know how far I might take modding this thing, but I know I'll draw a lot of inspiration and advice from this site.

I've prolly only been a member for a week or so, but got plenty of good advide just reading what everyone else has said. Nice place to double check things before you spend the money, most people here seem to point you in the best direction cost vs. performance wise
