Default Haldex problems

ok so my car is seriously starting to **** me off.

Has anyone had any problems with their haldex after 20-30 minutes of driving? I was getting off the highway yesterday and to merge after the stop sign i gave it some juice and spun my tires. I figured it was because it was 1st gear and it was wet outside so i shifted into second. I spun my tires some more.... I took my car home and let it cool down for a few hours, i started it and let it warm up, took it for a drive ripped it in 1st and had complete traction...??? i dont get it.
Then today i was getting off the highway on my way to school and decided to give the same thing a try and i spun my tires. Does heat cause the haldex to not work well? I have not done a service on my haldex unit but all of the records on my car seemed up to date when i bought it so i assume the haldex was serviced (i have records of it being serviced at an audi facility.)
to the clutches get hot and make the haldex not work? If what im saying isnt clear let me know.

thank you for any help.

i dont have a vag-com cable... and my actron will only clear a code/scan a code if the cel is on.

I dunno maybe im overreacting but i think i should have traction in 1st and 2nd under a load when its wet.
I ripped it a little with the ground dry on my way home from class and my tires didnt spin. My TT is quite a bit faster than my tib was and i could spin my tires with ease on dry pavement in 1st gear. My haldex has to be working right?

if anyone knows if longer drives and heat to my little pumpkin will cause the haldex not work let me know.

used to have that problem with my old TT... no codes.
I think its an overtemp lockout. There are safety systems in the haldex that do that, but whether it should throw a code or not I don't know.

Can't remember if this was before or after the haldex upgrade. Think it was before. No problems with the 180 or the 225 with the blue controller (swapped same controller from car to car).

Most dealership don't concider haldex service required or even suggest it. You maintance may be up to date, without the heldex oil ever changed. I would jack the car up and see if your filter is sliver (metal)- never changed or black plastic- changed.

hm i wanna put my car on a lift and see if my rears spin. Im pretty sure it is working other than after a long drive. I'm going to buy the blue controller before the end of the summer. I want it for next winter, but if i have some other issue with it I need to get it resolved. I think i might call audi tm and ask them if there is any type of safe mode for the haldex at a certain temp.

I have a scanner but it (along w/ what auto zone and advanced have) will only detect codes if a cel is on. I dont have a cel so it wouldnt do me any good
