For one if you take off and your front wheels are spinning like in a front wheel drive car. Actually it's pretty much a 80/20 splitt anyway except when you start loosing
traction and the haldex takes over. But you shouldn't be able to spin the front wheels freely like you could in a fwd car. I can get a squeal them briefly but not turn
them loose.

for me, it was ESP light being on all the time and also wierd sound when doing really tight turns. After I pull the fuse out for the controller, the car behaves like a FWD car and all the wierd sounds were gone.

I think it pretty much stays the same except the all wheel drive kicks in a lot sooner than in stock
mode. I think the highest it can go even with the Blue or orange controler is 60/40. Depending on the situation.

Both wrong, but Tom is partially right. Aftermarket controllers rely more on the throttle position sensor, so it knows before your engine even starts making power that theres potential for slip, and it starts adjusting accordingly.

stock controller = reactive
aftermarket = proactive

As for power split, as I'm trying to understand from some haldex material, I believe it allows 100% torque transfer to the rear. This DOES NOT mean that you'll be rear wheel drive, it means that if the fronts spin (spinning means putting no torque down), power is allowed to the rear... That's how I understand it anyway.

What if you had a built up TT, pushing big numbers... can the stock drivetrain handle that power transfer, and can the rear end hold up to big power?

I've never seen concrete numbers, but I've heard its all rated to 400hp or so... just rumors though.

With the Haldex system which doesn't use a driveshaft to connect there is no way you can ever get 100% torque to the rear wheels. I know I read somewhere that the best you could hope for was a 60/40 split. As far as how much power the drivetrain can hold. Not sure. I have yet so see a 400HP TT. But anything is possible

How do you figure the Haldex system doesn't use a driveshaft? How do you get power to the input of the LSC?
