Default GT28R

I am thinking on getting a GT28R for my Audi TT 180 FWD. I have the following mods so far:

GIAC chip
Borla catback 2.5
Techtronic downpipe 2.5
bailey diverter
CAI

Does anyone know how much whp I would have with the GT28r and my mods?

Thanks

Thanks guys. 300whp is probably more than I want cuz I dont want to change internals. Any suggestions on a turbo for 250-260 whp?

you'll love the GT28RS bud! don't go any smaller than that though...

your internals are fine up to 400

For a lower whp range get a E05 Turbo which is on the new 2.0 liter vw and audi the next best thing from the k04 it should bring you in that range.

but more power is so much better [8D]

interesting.. i didnt know that it was an E05 turbo on those..

i was under the impression it had K04 hot side and a massaged K03 intake side that allowed for a very quick spoolup..

i could be wrong though.. but that's what i was told..

the big increase in power from the 2.0T is supposed to come from the bigger displacement and the awesome FSI tech..

any links to where you found the info on the 2.0T turbo?

You are right i did a little deeper research...

E-05 is a KK04 Modded by Eurospec.

It has the same fit (obviously) as the KK04 (same housing).

It was Developed for use with 2.0L 20V turbo engines, the E-05 will maintain a full 1 bar plus for a 2.0L engine with 8.5:1 compression to 6500 RPM.

The key performance advantage of the E-05 lies in the design of the exhaust wheel. It is much larger and has a more aggressive blade profile for faster spool up (see below). The design of this wheel also incorporates a much more efficient exhaust gas outlet, allowing for increased power at higher RPM. The net result is minimal turbo lag and great upper end output.

ic.. you're not talking about the stock turbo that comes on the new 16V 2.0T FSI.. you're saying the E05 was developed by Eurospec to be used on 2.0L stroked 1.8T 20V engines...?

Yeah supposidly it works better by spooling up faster and better top end horsepower

so it may be a waist of time to get one if your wanting serious horsepower unless you have a FMIC and a good amount of mods.

vwvortex has mixed reviews on the E-05 turbo
