Grinding in 3rd gear
Hello, I have a 2002 TT ALMS with 48K miles that grinds every once and a while in 3rd gear. I am currently sitting at the Audi dealership where I was told that my warranty expired 5 days ago. I was also told that a cheap quick fix would be to change the transmission oil with synthetic at a cost of $500.
Does this sound right? How much does it really cost to change the tranny oil and are they just pulling my leg with this "quick fix"? I change the motor oil myself, is it much harder to change the tramsmission oil?
