so im going to buy a set of the RS4 reps. my question is, will my tires that were mounted on my stock 7.5" rim fit an 8" wide rim? i think it will have just a little bit of a stretch to it(compared to stock width). anyone have any input?

You can run anything from 215-245 on the 8" wide rim. Im sure you could squeeze in another size both directions if you really wanted to. You just made it sound like they are the 225/45/17 that were on the stock rims.

 

i fit 225 tires over 9.5" rims. those were super stretched.

as for the 8" width, you will hardly see/notice the stretch.
