Default Giac 91 /93 ??

A ship my ECU to GIAC for socket to flash upgrade , asking for 93 octan flash...
GIAC send me e-mail today :
"Your ECU has been shipped. Thank you.

GIAC Comments: Ecu currently flashed with 1x performance file good for both 91 and 93 oct.'

WTF ?? a end up with 91 octan file ?
Sory for my poor englisch

Sounds to me like they are saying your ecu was already flashed when you sent it to them.

Weill...It was chip on socket , now is flash ...
A need flash for more than 1 program...

I think it means it will adjust for either 91 and 93 octane fuel. Not sure how, but thats what it sounds like. I bet its just a 91 flash and would increase timing with an increase in octane.

I had the same question when I had GIAC flash mine and the lady I spoke with from GIAC said that they load both files because of the availability of some octane in certain areas. Basically, you can run either 91 or 93 without any worries regarding your ECU adapting. Now, try to run mid again like you could with the stock and it'll be prone to cause an issue.
