GAS, GAS, GAS!!!

RE: GAS, GAS, GAS!!!
The prices don't affect me too much because I always pray for the best and plan for the worst...live WELL within our means, and no extra debt. Outside of that, we've been driving less, and planning our trips more efficiently. I just paid $4.159 per gallon for 93 octane. Ouch.

Yep, the neutral technique down hills actually saves a lot of gas! Also, even though the fun may be stripped a bit from your driving, a calm and gradual acceleration is a gas saver as well.
I live in San Diego and a fill-up the other day cost me $70! Damn!! When I type it and re-read the number it really hits home!!!!

It's cutting in to my driving, and I love to drive the TT. Filled up today $53.25 @ $4.14 for 93 octane. It helps I'm up to 30 mpg, but usually run around 29.2. Still though, when's it gonna stop!!

I have been using regular instead of 91 octane. Truthfully, I cannot tell the diff. No knocking that I can tell. The beauty of the Turbo is that it is off at low RPM, so keeping the RPM down REALLY improves mileage, but the acceleration is there when you need it. I regularly (no pun) get 25 around town and 35 on the HWY.

Public Transportation. not a bad idea if you live close to everything and they run often and on time but things to consider are intimidation by youths/drunks/thieves/nutters/kids and only scrapped at the issues there
