front bumper license plate mount?
My euro license plate frame cover on my TT looks like swiss cheese. It had an american plate frame on the front of it when I got it. We are not required to have a front plate so I took the bulky plastic square eye sore off the front. Now there is some holes where it was of course. I am looking for a piece to replace it but I am unsure what it is actually called and where to find it. If I knew what to search for I could probably get one.

FYI, its about $80 from the dealer, unpainted, for a new one. I bondo'd the holes, and sprayed it myself, then promptly hit a guardrail, so it was all replaced under insurance anyways, and semi-professionally painted.

[ul][*]Wow$80 bucks for that piece of plastic. I think I will just bondo it haha. I have a paint gun I should be able to handle it. I acutally really need to repaint my whole front bumper, there is a lot of little stone chips and scratches in it. Lowes has hole plugs in the screw/fastener section, I already bought some of those but they still look kinda crappy compared to a nice smooth surface.[/ul]

While I had the bondo out, I went ahead and 'shaved' the whole thing off the front of the car. just make sure its plenty clean, and a little roughed up, and really work the bondo into the seam so you don't end up with a crack later on. Made the front end look alot better, and bigger actually.

http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2045...81698583LsGEIh couldnt get the pic to loan on its own, heres a link to my car, sans euro plate. dont mind the lack of blending, or matching paint, it was my first attempt ever, with no instruction.

Will the bondo adhere well to that? even if it is roughed up a lot? I would think something as flexable as plastic would crack the bondo after time. That does look nice though, you did a pretty good job on it. I was thinking of doing the same thing but I didnt know if it would work. I guess if it held up for you I might as well
