Default FMIC question

Looking at FMICs and all I see something about map sensors. My question is when I went to the APR FMIC would I need to change my map sensor? I would assume that I am flowing more air into the intake mani now with the bigger piping and IC? My car is running good and all but when looking at the BF SMIC it said you might have to get a biiger map sensor, is that true with FMICs too? Thanks.

They are both factory map's, one just needs a larger hole than the other. They both do the same thing and read the same, one just need a larger hole for fitting.

Cool sounds good, thanks. Im also researching the things Im going to do to the new TT. Im not going to get the mod bug as bad on this one, just keep it simple but a little faster. Chip, full exhaust, CAI, better flowing hoses in key areas and maybe upgraded SMIC.

Damn that is a huge FMIC. I wonder what the effeicency numbers are? So it would probably be safe to say that even with a chipped 2.0T that FMIC should do the trick. But it does make me curious as to why they went away from the SMIC or even the dual SMIC for a stock 2.0T. Did they raise the boost on this new car real high to get that extra HP? Good info thanks.

there is a vag chart in the link, seems to be very effective on a tdi and on mkiv cars. The boost should be about the same, you get the extra hp from extra displacement and i think they run 10:1 compression also.
