Default FK grille installed!

Picked up an FK badgeless grille for $75 shipped. Little early Christmas present for myself, also fixing the grille problem from the shop that did the repair work breaking the mounting tabs on the stock grille.

Need to get some better pics in the daylight, and with something more than a cell phone camera, but there it is.

Guess I'll also use this thread to post up a few other pics.
Heres my car halfway thru repairs. See the canister thing at about 10 o'clock from the wheel? Thats the friggen leak detection pump that I despise. Sounds like mice sexing it up.

Last comes with a question. Do you still get this excessive wheel gap when you lift the car up after lowering? Im wearing out my jack trying to get the damn wheel off the ground. I'm considering putting limiting straps on the A-arm to reduce the excess travel.

nice grill, what exactly are you repairing? are you installing a fmic? you might as well since you have the bumper off/had it off.

Repairing damage caused by piling thru a guardrail. Shop screwed up the otherwise undamaged grille trying to pull it out of the old bumper (which was being replaced). The FK is my replacement.

Not doing an FMIC, because if I do it, I'm gonna do it right, and that means probably $600-700 at least. Theres a couple nice cores out there I can build around, just don't have the money for it right now.

I don't blame them, those little tabs are a pain! But I mean with your old bumper if they were gonna dispose of it they could have just hacked up the bumper and gotten it out nicely rather than breaking isht.[:@]

I was comfortable with the guy working on my car until about 80% completion, then it was really starting to hit him how much time he was losing for working on other customers cars, and he started to shortcut. Something I made him promise he wouldnt do at the start. He routed my alien lines with the power steering lines for one, and loosely zip-tied them on. There was a big loop hanging that would have been sure to snag on something if I ever had to drive over debris/roadkill in the road. I fixed that while I had the bumper pulled to replace the grille.
