Default finding switched power under the hood

I am adding some led running lights and I need to find ignition switched power under the hood, so that the lights come on when the engine is started. Any ideas?

I already have a meter. I was looking to see if anyone knew of a circuit that was easily accessible that I could tap into.

Another idea is does someone know how to get a wire from the fuse box in the car to the engine compartment?

You're welcome. QW is my first stop for all questions. Most of the old TT gurus from AW moved there. Best place for TT knowledge base IMO.

cheers.
