Fans only running in High Speed
Hi everyone,
I recently noticed that my fans on my 1.8t TT are running only on high. The low speed never engages. Even with the AC is on, the fans do not kick in until the engine heats up and when they do they are only on high for a limited amount of time. Also when i turn the car on initially, they kick on high for about 5 seconds, then they turn off and then kick back on high for 5 more seconds. I am leaning toward the fan control module, since they are getting power, and do function on high. Does the coolant fan switch control both speeds of the fan? If it is just the low that may be something I need to look into as well. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks

UPDATE:
I pulled the #16 Fuse, and no fans still. It is my understanding, that if the module was working correctly, pulling that fuse would engage both fans when the ignition was on. Also, I forgot to mention, I recently replaced the small radiator fan which was faulty. Could the new fan put enough load on the module to push it over the edge?
