Borla is good, I love it and the sound is great when coupled to a 3" downpipe! What model do you have. On the 225 the DP is more of an issue than the catback, so I did that first. I would do that first then catback to follow....if not, do both at once.

i have the 225. and i was actually thinking with going with the 42dd downpipe. i'll probably go with the dp 1st because i was reading that you get more power from replacing the dp

I have the borla with a 3 inch downpipe. I custom fabbed the stock cat to the downpipe and then to the borla exhaust. It sounds great and isnt too loud. You will be pleased.

what do you guys think i should be spending on a good 3" downpipe and exhaust for a 225. also, what are your hp gain estimates for a full exhaust install?

Um, as HP goes... probably 15-20? Maybe more... I have just noticed a huge difference in running the exhaust with the DP and the shroom filter. The turbo just loves its life now.

42DD dyno'd
Basically showed 9.3hp & 19.3 ft/lbs peak on 91oct. That is the street version. You figure 93oct plus test pipe maybe max 17hp & 25ft/lbs. I think more than 25 but it hasn't been dyno'd. Street Series is with cat convertible (you need if you state requires for inspection). Race Series is with test pipe. When you place a order now with them they start making it & can take 5 to 15 work days before they send it out. I'm waiting on mine now.
